Privacy Policy

Renuo ("Renuo", "we", "us") helps you track your professional certifications and reminds you before they expire. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We've kept it short and plain because the app collects very little.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your email address and (if available) your name from that provider. We do not receive your social/provider password.

Certification data you add

The content you enter to track a certification: the vendor, certification name, certification/credential codes and IDs, credential URLs, badge image URLs, issue and expiration dates, and any notes. This is the core data the app exists to store.

Preferences

Your notification settings — whether push and/or email reminders are enabled, and the lead times (e.g. 90, 30, 7, 1 day) at which you want to be reminded.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not collect your location, contacts, or device identifiers for tracking.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the app: store and display your certifications and their status.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To send the reminders you've enabled — push notifications (delivered on your device) and/or email reminders before a certification expires.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Service providers

We use a small number of processors strictly to run the service:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (your account and certification data are stored here).
• Google and Microsoft — only if you choose to sign in with them, to verify your identity.
• Resend — to deliver reminder emails, if you enable email reminders.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

4. Data security

Your data is isolated per account using row-level security, so one user can never read another user's data. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and your login session is stored in your device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS).

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete any individual certification at any time inside the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at support@renuo.app and we will erase it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@renuo.app.

7. Children

Renuo is intended for working professionals and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
